How To Make Pot Swirled Soap
1. Make a 4 pound batch of cold process soap. If you don’t know how to make cold process soap, many people have learned from these tutorials:

2. At trace and before soap mixture gets too thick, remove 2 cups soap mixture into a glass measuring cup.
3. Add 2 teaspoons powdered turmeric into a small bowl with a small amount of mixture from the 2 cups. Mix well. Add this colored mixture to the remaining 2 cups.
4. Mix well until turmeric is blended into 2 cups soap mixture.
5. Holding measuring cup with colored soap mixture high above pot, pour lines into soap mixture in pot, leaving lines of uncolored soap in between colored lines.
6. With a heat proof spatula or stainless steel knife, make swirls by going through the uncolored soap and colored soap. Go across the pot.
7. Pour into mold. Leave soap as is, or take a spatula and swirl throughout the mold.
8. Sprinkle calendula petals on top.
