Fizzy Bath Bomb Molds :: Stainless Steel vs. Plastic

Bookmark and Share

There are several different types of bath fizzy molds on the market. Most of the molds are plastic. I wanted to try the stainless steel molds to see the difference. The stainless steel molds do last longer and produce a smoother fizzy bath bomb. The all-natural bath fizzy bombs pictured above were made with the stainless steel molds. The stainless steel molds are harder to work with than the plastic.

I ordered two sizes.

The stainless steel molds are a lot more expensive, anywhere from $5-$20 more per each individual mold. I'm not so sure if they are worth the price difference. If you make a lot of fizzy bath bombs, the higher cost would justify investing in the stainless steel they will last a long time.

The stainless steel molds produces a much smoother surface.

This bath fizzy has oats in it and is fairly smooth. When using a plastic mold, the oats fizzy is not as smooth.
