Simple Spa Sunday

Share

When we are the busiest and life is challenging, many times we put ourselves last. Here is an easy and simple way to use a few ingredients you probably already have and take a few minutes for yourself to feel renewed again. It worked for me today.

1.Cleanse & Exfoliate Face
Mix together
1 tablespoon milk, cream, soy milk or water
1/8 teaspoon sugar (optional)
2 teaspoons flour (any will do to thicken mix, good for the skin: oat, spelt, barley)
Gently press and roll onto face.
Rinse off with warm water

2. Facial Steam

Bring 5 cups of water to a boil and pour into a heat proof large glass bowl
Add 2 herbal tea bags (try chamomile or green tea)
Cover bowl and let steep for 2 minutes
Remove 1/2 cup of tea from bowl and set aside

Being very careful with the heat and steam, place your face above the bowl and cover your head and bowl with a towel. Steam face and relax for 10 minutes.

3. Face, Hair, Body Mask and Moisturizer
No need to rinse off. Leave on face and body for extra skin softening
Stir together:
1/2 cup of herbal tea (the one you set aside)
1 tablespoon olive oil

Olive oil is a rich oil. It softens, soothes, conditions, restores, cleanses, nourishes and moisturizes skin.
Face
gently massage onto face and neck
Body
massage onto any part of the body; hands, legs, breasts, chest, feet...
Hair
Spoon into palm of hand, pour onto head and massage into scalp and hair, wash out when ready(can be left on all day).

4. Eye Soother
Use the two tea bags left over from the tea you made or two new ones. Wet tea bags in cool water. Lie down and place on your eyes for a few minutes.

5. Hydrate
Drink a glass of water with lemon or a cup of tea
