Return to Nature

Share

Return to nature for health and well-being. It is such a simple principle. Nature provides all that we need. Nurturing the body with natural beauty. The scents and healing properties of herbs and flowers help to promote balance, well-being and uplift the spirit. It is old-world knowledge of healing through the power of plants and nature that mothers and grandmothers used to use. These wise women knew the benefits of each plant and how to use them. Thankfully this information is not all lost and is now coming back into our lives.

Our body is an intelligent system. It knows when something is synthetic or real. Our body knows how to process natural ingredients but it does not know what to do with synthetic ingredients. When natural, whole ingredients are used, our body can sense this. When we use herbs, flowers and natural oils, it is nutrition for our skin. The ingredients you put on your skin is as important as the food you eat. When all-natural ingredients are used, they nourish and allow the skin to breathe leaving you with a skin that glows.

In our busy schedule we have forgotten to take time to nurture our body. Instead, more time is spent caring for a house than the house that holds our spirit. There is a saying that says "if you don't take care of your body now...where are you going to live?" Taking care of your body is not being self indulgent. It is investing in your health and well-being. Sitting down and putting your feet in an aromatherapy foot bath is an excellent way to relax and rejuvenate your body and yet it is so simple. (Aromatherapy Foot Bath will be in the next post)

One of the most healing things to do is spend time in nature. When you are feeling depleted, go to the ocean or the mountains and just be with nature. See how you feel afterwards. Of course you don't have to feel depleted to visit the ocean or the mountains. Breathing the ocean or mountain air helps to refresh us. Nature offers so many gifts. All we need to do is return to nature to bring back balance and well-being in our lives.
