I talk to people daily about the powerful effects of products from the honeybee and the importance of them. I have spent the last several years, studying bees, learning from beekeepers and using products from the hive for myself and others. I have seen how beekeepers that are truly the bees steward, respecting the intelligence of the bees, using no pesticides or synthetic chemicals to subdue them, their bees are flourishing. The beekeeper I have been going to for years for my beeswax and honey said he has never had so much honey and his bees keep multiplying. There are many people interested in the bees again. We need more bee stewards to watch out for the bees and keep the bees local. Did you know California is responcible for the majority of the worlds crop for almonds? Almonds must be pollinated by the bees or there will be no almonds.I love honeybees. Since I was little, I have watched the bees for hours. I even had a tarantula that my mom's friend brought me from Visalia, CA. I asked her what to feed it and she told me to feed it live bees. I don't know if I should have done that because the tarantula didn't live for very long. I didn't like catching the bees and feeding them to the spider anyway but I also didn't want the spider to die. My first lesson in 'letting wild creatures live in the wild and not in cages.'
This will be a series of posts on Honeybees and using products from the Beehive. I will post several blogs on information and great resources of recommended websites and books under each of these categories:
- The Energy of Bees
- Apitherapy (healing with products from the beehive)

According to Joanne Elizabeth Lauck from the book The Voice of the Infinite in the Small:Re-Visioning the Insect-Human Connection she talks about Sharon Callahan's bee communication. Sharon was able to communicate with the bees and address the issue of mass dying of bees from the tracheal mite. It is interesting and worth getting the book to read her incerpt of this communication. Here is a short excerpt:
"The virus carried by the parasite infesting the bees is present as a consequence of the negative thought forms generated by human beings, particularly those such as greed, power, manipulation, self interest, insensitivity, cruelty and lack of love. These negative states must be turned toward their opposites: sharing, humility, gratitude and Unconditional Love."
Sharon talks a lot about the high energy vibration of bees.
The Melissa Garden is doing fabulous bee stewarding. Priscilla Coe teaches a class on Apitherapy at the Melissa Garden.
ApitherapyApitherapy is using honeybee products for healing. I definately have a profound experience with honey alone and I will include it in my next post on honey. Honeybee products have been used since ancient times for infections, arthritis, indigestion, toothaches, to boost up the immune system, for instant energy and for skin care.
